Er is heel wat gebeurt de laatste weken in en rond Vaassen. Allereerst hebben we de herdenking in Gortel gehad, altijd weer een indrukwekkend gebeuren.<\/h3>\n

12 April was ook een feestelijke dag, Gelredag\u00a0met uitzending van RTV Gelderland vanuit het museum Vaassen Historie met extra aandacht voor de expositie over de april\/mei staking in WO2,een \u00a0modeshow in de Dorpsstraat, een lezing in de Rank en een film in de Cannenburgh.<\/h3>\n

Ook de bevrijding van Vaassen werd gevierd. Met de Gerarda Majellaschool was er een herdenking bij de zuil aan de laan van Fasna, waar de Halifax EB 215 is neergestort -op september\u00a0 75 jaar geleden- waarvan David Griffin de enige overlevende is. Broken Wings en de school hielden hier een ceremonie om ons hier aan te herinneren met medewerking van de oud mariniers.<\/h3>\n
