\"\"<\/a>Wij ontvingen\u00a0op 17 juni 2019 j.l. het bericht dat\u00a0mrs. Olive Burrell – Satchell<\/strong> (98) is overleden. Olive was de zuster van John W. Satchell, bemanningslid en boord- werktuigkundige van de Halifax EB215 die op 28 september 1943 neerstortte nabij de Laan van Fasna. John W. Satchell ligt begraven op de Algemene Begraafplaats te Vaassen.<\/p>\n

Op 11 november 2006 onthulde zij samen met David Griffin de Broken Wings zuil aan de Laan\u00a0 van Fasna in Vaassen.<\/p>\n

Samen met haar zoon John was zij sinds 1995 regelmatig te gast in Vaassen waar zij de Poppy Day herdenkingen bijwoonde en het graf van haar broer bezocht.<\/p>\n

Olive bleef ondanks haar hoge leeftijd nauw betrokken bij de activiteiten van Broken Wings tot haar gezondheid de laatste jaren achteruit ging en zij in een verpleeghuis werd opgenomen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
