Stichting Broken Wings ontving bericht van David Griffin, via zijn dochter en schoonzoon, waarin hij zijn dank uitspreekt naar zovelen in Vaassen die hem gelukwensten met zijn 100e verjaardag. Heel veel felicitatiekaarten en brieven in Engels of Nederlands, het merendeel uit Vaassen, die hij evenals het artikel in Vaassens Weekblad, allemaal heeft gelezen. Helaas lukt het hem niet meer om iedereen persoonlijk te bedanken.<\/p>\n

Al deze gelukwensen zijn samen met die van familie en vrienden, van Koningin Elizabeth, de premier van Australi\u00eb en andere hoogwaardigheidsbekleders, verzameld in een gedenkboek.<\/p>\n

David voelt zich goed en actief en praat heel vaak over zijn bezoeken aan Nederland en Vaassen en zijn bijzondere band met Broken Wings. Hij is zich ervan bewust dat hij zowel in Nederland als in het Verenigd Koninkrijk vrienden voor het leven heeft gemaakt.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
