S.O.S. MATROZENKOOR DEELT CHEQUE UIT AAN BROKEN WINGS \u201940-\u201845<\/strong>
\nOp donderdag 23 juli 2020 ontving Adrie Pol, voorzitter van Stichting Broken Wings \u201940-\u201945 uit handen van Evert Zijlstra, voorzitter van het S.O.S. Matrozenkoor uit Apeldoorn, een cheque ter waarde van \u20ac 1.000,-.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Het S.O.S. Matrozenkoor steunt jaarlijks goede doelen die door leden van het koor worden voorgedragen. Voorwaarde daarbij is wel dat de doelen niet vanuit reguliere fondsen ondersteund kunnen worden. Stichting Broken Wings was door \u00e9\u00e9n van de koorleden voorgedragen en door het bestuur genomineerd omdat Broken Wings voldoet aan de gestelde criteria: kleinschalig particulier initiatief, regionaal werkgebied, gericht op kinderen.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de ceremonie, waarbij de RIVM-richtlijnen in acht werden genomen, sprak Adrie Pol zijn dank uit naar het koor en met name naar het koorlid dat Broken Wings had voorgedragen. Het geld komt ten goede aan het Scholenproject. Voor het komend jaar wil Broken Wings op de scholen in haar verzorgingsgebied een educatieve kennisbron plaatsen in de vorm van een gedenkzuil zoals Broken Wings deze heeft geplaatst op diverse locaties in de gemeente Epe e.o. die herinneren aan neergestorte vliegtuigen of andere historische gebeurtenissen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.<\/p>\n

De les-zuil bevat verschillende didactische lesmaterialen die de docenten op de scholen kunnen inzetten om de leerlingen te helpen zich een beeld te vormen van onderwerpen en gebeurtenissen tijdens WOII, zoals landen van herkomst, leeftijden, honger, rassenhaat, geaardheid van personen, het verzet, de samenwerking tussen de geallieerden en de overdracht naar het huidige tijdsgewricht.
\nDe werkgroep Scholenproject van Stichting Broken Wings \u201840-\u201945 wil de verhalen uit de oorlogsperiode bij de jeugd blijvend onder de aandacht brengen en hoopt met de ingebruikname van de les-zuil dit doel te kunnen bewerkstelligen.
