Tijdens een speciale Broken Wings bestuursvergadering op vrijdag 10 januari 2020 in Daams\u2019 Molen te Vaassen droeg Hans Achterbergh zijn voorzittershamer over aan Adrie Pol.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mede-oprichter en bestuurslid vanaf het prille begin (1997) en voorzitter sinds eind 2003, heeft Hans daadkrachtig, energiek en met kennis van zaken leiding gegeven aan stichting Broken Wings. Doelstelling van de stichting was in eerste instantie het organiseren van herdenkingen ter nagedachtenis van 33 geallieerde vliegers, omgekomen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in onze regio en begraven in Epe en Vaassen.<\/p>\n

Als oud-docent geschiedenis nam Hans Achterbergh initiatieven tot het ontwikkelen van educatieve projecten. Met name lesbrieven voor leerlingen in het basisonderwijs (groep 7\/8) in de gemeente Epe. Met de bedoeling om op een voor deze leerlingen begrijpelijke wijze de vaak heftige gebeurtenissen in onze gemeente tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog vast te leggen.<\/p>\n

Logisch vervolg hiervan was het geven van gastlessen op basisscholen in de gemeente en zelfs daarbuiten alsook rondleidingen in Museum Vaassen Historie waar Broken Wings een permanente tentoonstellingsruimte heeft.<\/p>\n

Hoewel Hans Achterbergh zich al had voorgenomen om komend voorjaar
\nals voorzitter terug te treden draagt hij zijn taken nu al over aan Adrie Pol, vicevoorzitter van Broken Wings. Gelukkig blijft Hans als bestuurslid, met specialisatie gastlessen en rondleidingen, voor Broken Wings behouden.<\/p>\n

Met Adrie Pol, sinds 2010 als voorzitter van de werkgroep Scholenproject betrokken bij Broken Wings en eveneens met een onderwijsachtergrond, heeft Broken Wings zich verzekerd van een waardige en competente opvolger.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
