De jaarlijkse herdenking bij het T for Tommy monument aan het Veenwegje in Gortel vindt dit jaar plaats op zaterdag 12 april a.s. om 14.00 uur.<\/p>

De herdenking ter nagedachtenis aan de zes jonge vliegers van de Short Stirling<\/p>

R 9168, die op 16 december 1942 omkwamen toen hun toestel hier neerstortte, wordt georganiseerd door stichting Broken Wings i.s.m.Vereniging Gortel-Niersen.<\/p>

Op donderdag 10 april geeft Adrie Pol, voorzitter van Broken Wings, een gastles voor leerlingen van CBS Het Mosterdzaadje, Gortel. Ter afsluiting is er om 13.00 uur een, ieder jaar weer, bijzonder indrukwekkende herdenking door alle 120 leerlingen bij het T for Tommy monument. \u00a0<\/p>
